A Fresh Look At Communion

Religious tradition has caused many to walk in fear or shame when they consider taking communion. The concept of not approaching God in an “unworthy manner” (1 Corinthians 11:27) has been misunderstood by many.

It is a fact that, as we stand on our own, we will never be able to muster up the worth to approach God. Sin and death has completely disqualified us. God the Father knew this and made provision for the answer through His Son, Jesus Christ.

When understood, communion is an exciting moment. It is our opportunity to examine ourselves in the light of the provision made by Jesus and boldly and confidently approach the Father.
